Desert Christian Academy is a great place for children to grow and mature into young adults. It is our goal in admissions to make sure each student that attends our school is on the best track for success. We have an extensive and yet simple admissions process designed to attain this goal. Whether a student is coming from another college prep school, public school, or is beginning their education for the first time we will help find the best place for each student to start.
At Desert Christian Academy we have set very high accademic standards with over 95% of our graduates moving on to four year universities. Our heart is that anyone who has a desire to attend Desert Christian Academy will be able to do so regardless of social, economic or educational background.

INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
Desert Christian Academy has hosted international students since 1981. Our international students have the opportunity to become proficient in the English language, participate in athletics, learn American culture, and gain entrance to American Universities and Colleges. International students are placed in our classrooms with the rest of the student body so they can be immersed in English, which has proven to help students gain confidence and a better understand of how to speak, write, and understand the English language. The application process for international students includes: submitting an online application for admission, submitting scores from an English proficiency exam (SLEP, TOEFL etc.), participating in a video interview (using Skype or equivalent), and submitting all appropriate documentation to receive and I-20 form. Our international students are issued F-1 visas which allows the student to attend Desert Christian Academy until they graduate. International students who have graduated from Desert Christian Academy have successfully gained admission into the University of California and California State school systems as well as many private Universities and Colleges throughout the United States. Our curriculum is academically challenging and includes 7 Advanced Placement (AP) and 8 Honors classes. International students may arrange their own housing or request a host family from Desert Christian Academy (additional fee). Desert Christian Academy works with various agencies and reimbursements are made to agents from student tuition. The tuition for international students is comprehensive and includes expenses that our domestic families pay in addition to tuition throughout the year. Our international students pay these costs ahead of time because they do not have access to parents that would allow them to receive extra funds when needed.
