Middle School
Combining a rigorous academic program with a relational community, Desert Christian Academy provides Biblically-centered education for grades six through eight.
At Desert Christian Academy, we desire to partner with parents during this transition from childhood to the adolescent years. Now, more than ever, secondary school students are in need of caring and capable role models that will help nurture and direct them in their development of independence and individuality.

Curriculum
Desert Christian is a college preparatory academy. Our curriculum is both rigorous and engaging. We offer six core subjects: Bible, English, History, Mathematics, Physical Education, and Science. Students can also take a variety of elective courses through our FLEX program.
For interactive learning, our 8th-grade curriculum offers a 12-day Historic Study Tour on the East Coast. They will learn about early American heritage, experience various cultural exhibitions, and walk the halls of government institutions.
DCA is proud to provide special accommodations and support to students with learning challenges. We offer the LEAP Program (Learning Enhancement and Academic Progress) as a resource for neurodiverse learners
Bible
At DCA, God’s Word is the authoritative text governing our curriculum. Therefore, it is essential for our students to have comprehensive biblical instruction, preparing them for lifelong application of God’s Word. Middle School students attend weekly chapels, which parents are always welcome!
DCA values discipleship. AXIOS is our middle school leadership club that meets twice a month. Additionally, our 6th-7th grade students attend an annual retreat that fosters academic, spiritual, and social growth.

Academic Prep for High School
In preparation for High School, we offer Physical Science to our 8th-grade students. Our science classes are interactive and project-based. These fundamentals will prepare students for High School Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
DCA’s math department is designed to ensure a smooth transition to High School. Advanced math students have an opportunity to take Algebra I in the 8th grade. Upon passing, this advanced track allows students to receive high school credit and prepares them to continue higher-level learning.
