At the beginning of summer, a team of Desert Christian Academy students and staff stepped out in faith and traveled to Trujillo, Peru, to serve with the ministry of Calvary Trujillo. Housed on the church campus, our team experienced firsthand what it means to live out the Gospel through service, discipleship, and outreach.

 

Throughout the trip, students participated in street evangelism, sharing the hope of Christ and inviting people to church. Each morning began with devotions alongside the Calvary team as we prepared our hearts for ministry. Our students also helped prepare the church property for the upcoming opening of a K–12 school, served during the youth ministry’s midweek service, and hosted a Vacation Bible School for local children.

 

One of the most meaningful parts of the trip was serving families in one of the underserved communities in Trujillo. Through acts of service, encouragement, and the message of Jesus, our students had the opportunity to make a lasting impact while being transformed themselves.

 

Thank you to everyone who prayed for and supported this mission. We are grateful for the opportunity to see God at work in Peru and proud of the way our students stepped out in faith to serve others.
